We print the proper product information on our steel studs and track as outlined in the IBC and ASTM Standards with strict quality control procedures.
| The quality control measures at the plant level include the following:
- All stud and track is inspected to ensure that each piece is labeled as it is produced. Our quality control personnel will also verify that the labeling is clear, accurate, and that the proper identifiers meet the codes as outlined in IBC 2006, ASTM C645, ASTM C955, ASTM A1003, and ASTM 653.
- Our receiving process includes verifying that mill certifications regarding steel thickness, yield, and corrosion protective coating weights are strictly adhered to. Mill Certifications are available for each coil that MRI Steel Framing purchases.
- Each coil that is delivered to MRI Steel Framing is measured for thickness using a micrometer. Since we roll form flat steel, we are able to perform a random sampling of finished product which is also measured for material thickness with a micrometer.
- Each bundle is tagged with the code required information.
